Learning & growth energize happiness.

It all began in a classrooom.

I am a teacher at my core.

When I started my journey, I knew I loved teaching, but not being in a classroom all day each day — and so I worked to turn my passion into something less traditional, as teachers go. I began to build my business and continued to be a life-long learner, thriving as I learned every day to better master myself and the world around me. As business success grew, I enjoyed having more financial freedom and growing a business that allowed me to feel like I was doing something important, doing it well, and doing it for people who were not getting that important something done well anywhere else. I also built my life around my work and found joy in my ability to create a team to love their important work, each other and to help me do more of my work for as many people as I could.

By many standards of business success, our company had accomplished, and surpassed anything originally intended or dreamed in my initial vision so many years ago. Teaching led to private tutoring, which led to homebound instruction, which led to homebound instruction for hospitalized students, which led to homebound instruction for behavioral students, and suddenly 15 years later, we were teaching X kids per year, with a team of X in Y states, and all of which has given me the learning and growth that energizes my happiness.

If companies stay small, there’s a reason.

After 20 years of leading a company that grew from one student to thousands and from one employee (thank you, Amy) to xyz, I came to a realization. This realization came after a ton of research, reflection, discussion, reading and journaling and more discussion and reflection of course!

I realized I didn’t want to manage a big team, travel extensively for work, or expend my entrepreneurial energy on work that didn’t resonate with the same passion that my company of the last 20 years had brought.

I want to focus inside my geography, on services that I have a lot of passion for, that I believe in. With a busy mind like mine, coupled with loving to learn and discover more each day, coming up with ideas is not a problem. I realize I have created the systems for success surrounded by passion, drive and a true commitment to something that meant a lot to me. I want to help others do the same. The Academy is the portal to make this happen. The Academy is the opportunity for others to experience this same feeling of finanical freedom, of learning and growth to energize their their happiness.
